Lookin’ for a Handout

This Herring Gull flew in and landed right next to our car just as we stopped for a “Kodak Moment” at a scenic overlook in Acadia National Park.  Sorry to disappoint the gull, but no handouts.  But it must have thought the camera and lens might have some food in there somewhere.  I walked all the way around the gull, taking numerous images trying to get the best light.  I even got closer, but nothing seemed to phase this gull.  Its not very often a bird lets you get this close, so I took advantage of the opportunity.  After a couple of dozen images, it was time to move on.
